Carb swap ? I have a 92 FJ1200, stock with only a Vance and Heines pipe.   I came across a deal on a set of BS36's off of a 1985 FJ1100.  I would love to have a spare set to beef up over the winter and install next spring/swap.  Will the year difference: pilots, jet sizes, gravity feed, Specs ect be too much of a problem to get going on my 92 with fuel pump ?  will they even match up and work.   I have not purchased them yet but at $75 for all four.....

They'll fit, but you will have to change float needle jets, fuel inlet, and maybe jets.  I think the throttle cable attachment is different too.  What condition are the diaphrams in?  How clean are they?
That said, for $75 its nice to have a spare - even if it ends up costing your $200 to make them right.
