When I got to work I saw that they had delivered my new boat.

By looking at the picture you my be able to figure out where I work.  I would really like to take it for a turn around lake Washington.  Just once!

Okay, not necessarily AS cool, but...

I was at my buddy's shop a few weeks ago when this local "big shooter" (I won't mention his name, but he's (in)famous for concept restaurants) started rolling through with a number of wood boats he had purchased for some new boat themed restaurant he is supposedly developing with Disney. He had been buying these boats at some huge boat auction here in town, and he sure picked some winners. This one here is supposed to be the crown jewel of the restaurant; it really seems a pity that this beauty will be ensconsed inside a building for the rest of its natural life.

Or, is it more of a pity that that Allison engine isn't still powering a P-38 Lightning, a P-40 Warhawk, or (heaven forbid), an early P-51 as God had intended it to do? Regardless, I sure wouldn't mind giving it a last lap or two, although I'd maybe be a little afraid of breaking it.
