fitted a hagon shock to my 89 3cv, piece of cake took about 20 minutes but noticed the linkage bearings are getting a bit tired :nea:.  cleaned the carbs fitted the 108 dynojet kit and balanced the carbs. fitted a k+n filter,  drilled the airbox but got carried away a bit just couldnt stop a t 20 1/2" holes carried on and drilled 30. slotted the ignition plate to roughly 5 degrees advance. took test ride  wow amazing differance. handling is improved a lot and i havent even set the shock yet, tickover is vastly improved and mid range is just brilliant, bit of an improvement on top end but wont really know till i get on a good cop free road.   got on ebay and bought a pair of yzf 600 calipers (gonna need them with all the extra go go) next job gonna be a set of progressive springs, cut 50mm from the seat, raise the backend 25mm and raise the forks through the clamps 18mm.. gotta say one thing though, thank you for all the brilliant advice that you fellas post on this site, youve helped me transform my bike and it wouldnt have happened without ya  :good2:

Great that after all your changes the bike runs well and that you're happy.
To which of the many changes you made do you attribute the greatest improvement?

gotta be the shock.. its all well and good having all that lovely power but you need to be able to transmit it to the road safely. had my fj up to 140mph on a far from smooth road today and she felt planted which is a massive improvement over a twitchy weave at anything over a hundred before. just cant wait to sort the front end out properly now.
