Electrical probs

Hi guys,
I've just purchased a really nice fj1200 and it's currently at my mate's...The Bike Doctor having a tune up...Ufortunatly we have a problem...it's recently had a new batterery fitted however its running poorly we think to do the battery not charging....we changded alternator and still no joy....there doesnt seem any obvious signs why it wont work....Can any of you guys help....'PLEASE'

If it runs put a volt meter to the battery with it running and see what it tells you.If volts stay the same or drop then the generator or wiring to it is bad.If you raise rpm volts will climb to your not always charging at idle.
