Sorry if this has been asked before. Are the XJR Exhausts, headers etc, the same as our FJ's ? Mine's a 92 non ABS. Thanks

Arnie

Size and spacing of the exhaust ports is the same.  The XJR bits are different, but they can be made to fit the FJ pretty easily (according to some on the list who have fitted them) (Klavdy I think was one)

Yilt,

I've got an XJR1330SP collector box and silencers on my '92. These bolt straight on but note:

1. The silencers have captive nuts that are a different size to the FJ bolts. I replaced the nuts.

2. The lhs silencer doesn't have a main stand rubber stopper (the XJR has the stop on the stand) It is easy enough to attach a stopper to the silencer.

3. The silencers kick up a bit more so I can't fit my Givi E28 panniers (The E21s fit ok)

Don't know about the headers but expect these will also fit.

That should be XJR1300SP

Thanks Stuart, that was very helpful. Many thanks. Your bike is the same colour scheme as mine, and looks great ! ( Yours that is ). Are you riding an MZ ? I was just wondering, if so, what model. I've been contemplating getting an MZ Mastiff to keep the FJ company, when the Goldwing goes. Cheers Yilt

Yilt,

I used to ride the old two strokes as commuters/winter bikes. My last one was a 250cc Saxon. I changed it for a CBF250 Honda two years ago. I've ridden the 660cc Skorpion but I'm not keen on the big single engine. The best thing about MZs is the owners club. I still go to the odd rally - they are a good bunch.
