Just started a 12.5 hour shift Monday..... I work 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off, 2 on.   It's totally different than anything I've worked before, but I may like it.  Lots of days off (7 out of 14), 84 hours worked and I get paid 112, because of OT rules
I'll get a couple bills paid off and have some disposable income again, hopefully...   :drinks:

going to be a bitch getting used to it, though.

I worked a similar schedule when in college. Ours was structured so that we had every other weekend off. (3-3-2-2-2-2) and it was great. The job was fairly labor intensive and it took a few weeks to adjust, but overall I enjoyed it.

I worked that schedule for a couple years.  Actually really liked it.  You can now use two days worth of vacation time and get 7 in a row!  The other thing that we liked was that we were paid each week, and were allowed to trade with anyone on other shifts if it would make our lives easier.  So I'd trade the three days in this pay-week for three in the next one, work 7 on and 7 off, and make a good bump of free overtime in the process while not working more hours.  They did catch on to that, but it took several months :)
