So.......after 2 months of tinkering around.....I decided to take my 2nd FJ1100 to a real mechanic.................turnaround time was a day and a half............he synched the carbs put in new plugs, traced and replaced faulty wiring............this guy did an awesome job............the first ride I took on it before he had it was rough....sputtering and hard to start. Now it purrs like a kitten,........I have been missing out for so long............I am glad I have 2 of these machines,I love em.
My first bike will be back together in about 2 weeks..........I'm repainting the frame and blacking out all the chrome..............but I'm gonna leave it to him again to get it running.   What can I say.....I felt like a kid at christmas time when I rode..................I may be way to excited about all this......but geez....these bikes are awesome.

What a great post!
I'm very happy for you Chris. It is soooo cool to find someone who can help you get things going.
Follow up and send him a thank you card. Put a six pack of his favorite beverage with it.
Tell him what you have told us. If he rides, he will know EXACTLY what you're talking about.  Very cool indeed.   Cheers!  Pat

That post just made me feel so good ! Congrat's on getting the bike running tip top. Don't think non biking people understand how important our bikes are to us, and that they are running properly. I've been biking for years and still looking for that one keeper. I've recently purchased my 1200 '92, and I agree with you, they are superb bikes. Maybe this is the one. Cheers Yilt
