1985 FJ 1100.  Spark seems to be weaker than usual, but all 4 are firing.  The engine starts, but cuts off right away.  When it does run for a while the choke doesn't seem to alter the RPM, and it sounds weak.  While checking the sparks i noticed holes under the cylinder head bolts.  I don't recall seeing them before.  the holes are in the same place under each bolt.  please look at the picture and let me know if that's normal.http://i1124.photobucket.com/albums/l576/gnapphoto/fj.jpg

I just went and looked at a pair of spare heads in the garage.  If that's one of the front (exhaust side) stud holes but not on the ends--only on the middle four, then both of my heads had that also.

those holes are on the top side; right next to the spark plugs.  the holes are not uniform; which gives me the impression that they are not suppose to be there.
