Crushing news. Nice to meet another bay area rider at the rally. Was hoping you'd make the renegade rally (soon to be planned) here in Napa. Get well soon. Andy

Sorry to hear you're broken.
Hope they put you back together better than Humpty.
Heal quick, but enjoy the drugs while you got 'em.

Cheers,

DAMN! That is bad news. One wreck meets your quota. It was really good to meet you at the rally and glad to hear you will be back. I know the feeling about the cell phone, last August my buddy took a bad hit (a head on) on a goat trial in my neck of the woods. At least I was with him. We lucked out when a dude came by with ham radio and got help pretty fast. My buddy is riding a VMAX again (not the same one). He took lot of heat from family for riding again. Wife said she would leave him... he said he would miss her, but damn if she's still there.
Speedy recover but don't push it too much!

Heal up Henry. I enjoyed meeting you and your company at the WCR. You are a natural rider with good instincts. Smooth and fast. What I struggle to achieve, comes to you naturally. Your sense of weather pattens is especially acute. Good call on the Hwy 36 west route on Saturday. That was fun.

Broken ribs are not fun. Do your breathing exercises, as much as they hurt, fluid build up and pneumonia is worse.
Also...Watch out for constipation from the pain meds. (Thank you DavidR) Get flushed out. Abdominal cramps with your broken ribs will have you begging.....

Take care amigo. When you get better, let us know what you need for your bike.   Pat Conlon.

It must be a full moon for FJ this month.  I wrecked my two weeks ago when caught in a VERY bad storm, hit some mud making a left turn and down I went.  Lucky for me it was very minor but damn I see all the other bad accidents and I feel very lucky.  I can not say it does not scare me a little, but I am back riding.  I am just extra careful right now.

thanks for all the kind words gents!

Pat, that's very flattering what you said about how I ride. i take that one to heart  :hi:. i hope you yourself are doing much better !
Klavdy, thanks for the support, both here,on barf and in person .  you are a standup person and i hope we can have a beer sometime  :drinks:

i was on a morphine syringe that was hooked up to my IV. i was able to hit this button on a cord every ten minutes and it would release the meds direct. Good Shit!!felt fantastic! if i wanted a nap ,I'd just give three clicks, awesome .
well ,they took it away today. since i showed such good improvement. but it was the drugs cuz now i am hurtin'!
if I'm lucky, i can go home tomorrow.

as for the fj, my buddy that took it to my house says it doesn't go straight. so im going to have the frame measured as well as replace the forks . possibly yzf 600 units ,since no machining is required . then all the little stuff, rear fairing, brake mc, clip-on,etc. I'll know for sure when i get home .

oh, anyone know what a medivac costs?

my shoulder blade that was fractured , it's broken in two! right down the middle

Well, that must mean you now have something in common with Danny Pedrosa, Colin Edwards, and a whole host of other big name motorcycle racers.  Enjoy the fame while you can :-)

Feel better !!

Shitty deal Henry!  Take it easy and heal up well.  I hope the fj can be brought back to life better than before.
Looking forward to seeing you again at next years rally.
