i finally wrecked

Guess it had to happen sooner or later. mines rd in east bay area. Hit some sand or gravel at the apex, she highsided and bucked me right onto a boulder jutting out of the crayon side. I got up and knew I was broken, grabbed my cell, no serviice. Tried tostand the fj up but just couldn't. Eventually someone drove byand sent for help. I had to get medivaced out. I'm drugged up and hurtverymuch. This g tablet is kind of difficult to use with one ha nd.
I haves fractured right scapula, 3 fractured ribs, and 4 or so chipped off spine processes (I think). Its the little knobbies that stick out. I had full gearbut onlythe fieldsheer level 1 back insert and not my coveted forcefield t-pro.

I just read that your buddies on the other forum found out where your FJ is.  If you need any help from us getting that thing back and fixed up - just ask!     There are several of us FJers up in that area.  I've also got a spair pair of black cordura type MC pants that are brand new - they should fit you perfectly - let me know where to send them and they're yours.

Shit Henry...  that's 2 of 4 down (Pat being the other) that came back from the WCR on Saturday (2 of 3 that were on FJs).  I hope we aren't cursed somehow for bailing early  

Scary thing a fall on Mines, but common.  It is a tricky road.  I was out there a couple weeks ago and talked with a sheriff up at the observatory.  He told me they are flying a couple riders off that road every weekend in the summer.  It is my local ride and I've been out there alone a few times...  that shit's gonna stop.

Hey Marsh, did you upload pics from the rally? I wanted to show my wife a couple of them.
I had such a great time meeting you all! I will undoubtedly be at the next one.

My first time on mines rd was last week and I fell in love. Especially the single lane goaty part.
In hindsight, my rear tire was that worn one from the rally. I have pilot road 2ct's on theway but figured I'd do one more run with these, bad idea.

Bugger me!! Henry...Sorry to hear about your unscheduled dismount and injuries. Heal fast, get your FJ back up to snuff. It was good meeting you at the rally, you took some good pics, I used one for my more than late avatar. I posted all my pics (Flicker account) including some of you heading out for a ride. Search for FJMonkey and rally. Keep us posted on your progress. We like progress reports better than "I F%$king Crashed" reports". Not that posting was wrong, we just like the good news better. Took me a year to get back playing Soccer.
