Well..........I'm not sure how well it will turn out....because I tend to drink alot when I work on the bike......................But I am going to try and fiberglass the headlight opening and mod it into a twin headlight...................this is my first try at anything like this.............but the upside is I live in florida close to the beaches and inlets........and tons of boatwork shops around....so if I screw up....I can always take it to one of them.....lol....................my main concern about the mod....is......will the stock old wiring handle it?....no idea...we shall see.

Maybe.  I guess it all depends on what type as well as what wattage lamps you use. The sad reality is that the stock wiring (andate  switches, connectors, etc) are barely adequate with the OEM headlamp.

If nothing else, you do well to use a relay harness to supply power direct from the battery and only use the stock wiring as the control switching.

Check the files list or search on headlamp and relay to find the previous discussion.

Cheers,
Arnie

You're looking at reworking the plastic, mounting new lamps, and a minor thing like wiring you're going to leave stock?  C'mon.  Mod it alllll the way and do it right!

Just don't screw it up by installing the headlight solenoid mod.  :-)
