Im trying to find a performance exhaust system, (headers and silencer).  I cant find any online.  Does any one make any for the fj 1200?  Mine is a 1989.

That's about the going rate for that pipe though, for any model.  Damned good piece, but making it from gold would be cheaper you'd think.

Be glad that Beet-Nassert doesn't make an FJ pipe... List price on their ZX10 pipe is 273000 yen... $3500!

fj11.5

Depending where u are, theres at least 3 on ebay australia, postage would be a killer though
unless you ride bikes, I mean really ride bikes, then you just won't get it

84 Fj1100  effie , with mods
( 88 ) Fj 1200  fairly standard , + blue spots
84 Fj1100 absolutely stock standard, now more stock , fitted with Fj12 twin system , no rusted headers for this felicity jayne

This is for a 1987 - not sure if it fits your 1989...

The Vance & Hines Supersport system is the best sounding system I've ever heard. I had this installed on a GSX1100 and a ZX-11. It was a serious deep sound that said, "Don't mess with me."

im about 87% certain that supersport is what i have on my bike, its pretty quite down low (alittle throaty if your into that :drinks:), and screams up high, its the only exhaust ive had on this bike, and it sounds great...for now, ive always been a yoshi fanboy though, but only because their purdy to look at.
sometime's its "broken", sometimes its actually broken, but usually its just sitting there cause i got one too many in, and have alcohol induced A.D.D.

I have a V&H Supersport, and while I like it, I really wish I could get my hands on a D&D.  They definitely give a nice low end burble that reminds me of the Alfa Romeos I've owned in the past.  Sucks that they're not being made by them anymore.

I have to give a word of caution in regards to "SANDYBIKESPARES".  The 4 into 1 collector is not quite a direct fitment for my 93 FJ      AND.... (and this is a big AND) after spending well over $550 USD on their down pipes and 4-into-1 they refused to sell me a left side muffler hanger without buying a full pipe...  WTF

They claimed that since they make the muffler hangers by hand they only sell them with a complete system- I wasn't asking for a freebee I was willing to pay their asking price AND they already had $550 of my hard earned dollars.....    They gave me zero respect and displayed no interest in keeping me as a customer.  I will sell my collector pipe at cost to anyone that wants it....

For the record- their downpipes arrive all scratched up from either shelf wear or shitty packaging.  Regardless, please use a healthy dose of caution before buying from these guys....  would love to hear from the membership here that my experience is the exception and they are actually good people. I have my doubts- WANKERS I SAY.

Delkelvic has some nice slip on's on eBay, not a 4-1 of course but nice.

I ended up going with the SS down pipes from Sandybikespares because I had already bought them (Delkevic does make them and they are nicer).  I am using the Delkevic SS Collector Box and a pair of 18" Tri Oval Stainless mufflers (they also make a 13" tri-oval)....  Sandybikespares makes a cool hanger for the muffler that uses the passenger footpeg as a mounting point. You replace the pin holding the peg on with a bolt and add the hanger to the underside.  What I liked about it for my bike was that it moved the muffler holder back about 4-5 inches to a much more supportive location for the weight of the muffler.  When attaching directly to the FJ muffler hanger on the frame it was very close to the forward end of the muffler and was a sort of unbalanced hold...  Of course to actually get these muffler hangers you need to buy a complete system as mentioned...  I had one made for the left side locally and would be happy to present the dimensions and details if anybody wants to make some...

I totally agree. I've mounted a few of those pipes (non FJ's).
