I haven't no but the previous owner swapped all the relevant bits to the older colour scheme as he'd had an off and preferred it.  So good spot as you're the 1st to mention it, even the FJ buffs in the UK haven't noticed.

Kerry, just that I am parting out a '90 at the moment, and the colour scheme was different, had me wondering......  :)

Hey sweet thing,
How are you and the OM doing? I am scheduled for surgery in the next few days. The beast sits due to drinking to much when she runs. Hoping some one here might have some ideas  read my post under maintenance, talk at ya soon

Hey hun, we're doing good thanks, tis snowing again here, I'd much rather be with you guys in FL.  Surgery sounds serious so send me an email and we hope it goes OK.  The beast will be fine just be patient.  My baby is still in 1000 pieces but I can see a light at the end of the tunnel now, check out my website for the latest pics.  Talk soon.

Kerry,

Great pics and absolutely incredible mods on the FJs....love the FJRs as well.  Two of the most perfect bikes ever designed.  My favorite FJ colours is the 89 white/silver/red.  Mark's 89 FJ is amazing.  Thx for sharing with us.

Glad you like them Perry, once my FJ is back from its winter rebuild then I'll post some more.  I must admit I also prefer the white/silver/red to mine but I do plan a special respray next winter which will be similar but not identical to Mark's.  It will be in memory of a guy we met a few times while on vacation in FL who is no longer with us, Mark Alva so I'll keep you posted.

Here's just a little mod I have finished. It required a bit of tinkering and some help from a WA fj1200 rider called Murray who sent some pics to me.

Hi Kerry,

Would you have any specs on the ohlins rear shock you are running ... i am trying to get one for my 89 but so far no luck from anyone including ohlins ... they will do it for me but it will have to be custom build unless i can get some specs from someone to help locate a donar shock.

Cheers
Steve

Hey Steve

I know this is way late but I pull my head out my butt and finally remembered to visit here again (1000 apols), unfortunately I can't help as the Ohlins shock came with the bike so I've no idea what the spec will be.
