Company that will rebuild the stock shock

I was looking at Ebay for a replacement for my stock shock when I came upon this ad:

I looked at their website:

So I emailed them.  Turns out that they will rebuild and re-valve the stock FJ shock for $200, claiming that it would be on par with the Penske.  Their website says they have been doing this for years.  Question is, has anyone here used or heard of them?

Run away.
Before I shelled out big $$$ for 2 sets of Penske shocks, I checked into a oem rebuild and here's what I found:
Jim Lindemann: Don't waste your time or money. The oem FJ shock is old school technology. Get a modern shock with modern valves and internals set for your specified spring rate along with being adjustable for length and adjustable for compression and rebound.
Max at Traxxion Dynanics: Don't waste your money on trying to save the oem FJ shock. The major problem with the oem shock is that it's undersprung and thus under dampened. Once you get a proper rate spring on the old oem shock, the shock's internals can't be modified enough to compensate for the heavier spring. Get modern shock. Shock technology has come a long way since the early 80's (for my '84FJ) The newer bikes with newer shocks can be rebuilt re-sprung and modified but not our old FJ shocks.

Both of these companies offered shock rebuilding services and they could have recommended this course of action but they did not They both said that they would be happy to sell me a new shock and Jim did...

  I'm also glad I listened to them along with FJ'ers like Frank Moore, Jon Cain Steve Conklin, Gazza, Rossi and many others who basically said the same thing.....

My conclusion:
Some things are best left to the experts (let's me out) so I should listen to them when they express their (same) opinions so strongly.
Scrimp, save, eat PB&J sandwiches for lunch if necessary, but get the Penske. Best mod I ever made to my FJ. It's amazing.

Well, if you want to go real fast for a 1/4 mile at a time, I'd say go for it.
If you want to go touring, I'd listen to The Desert Bogtrotter.

Thanks again Pat,

And Kavdy, they valve for road racing and street as well.  But I am not going to use their services after reading Pat's post.  Guess I will just save my pennies and wait for the Penske.

The blue spot calipers and FJR master should be here in a couple of days.  Can't wait to get those on the bike.
