Hola
I´ve been reading a lot of post of this forum and the mechanical level is oustanding!!!!!!!!!. I will try to colaborate or help or participate with my experience of being a FJ owner from 1988
Excellente work!
I´ve been at the UK FJ forum, but I´ve been censured a couple of times simply removing my posts speaking about the rim conversion detailed in my web. The UK FJ club earns money with the instructions and mine are free. And the FJ UK club has bought the FJ1100.com microfiche useful site, and If you want the microfiche you must pay
So I will try to learn from you and contribute with my experience
Best regards
Alf

That really sucks and leaves a bad taste in my mouth - to be censured for providing usefull technical knowledge.  Also - I thought you were already a member here Alf?  I remember you from WAY back in the day and your old website.  Anyway - welcome aboard!   :good2:

You can post all you want about a rim conversion over here!

Alf

Yeah, I was a member, but really I was at the UK forum for the proximity... it is en Europe, you know... well, I´m living in Africa geographically speaking... I would look for a Congolenian or Nigerian FJ owners forum...
And now with my CBX I have double forums and mail listings work  :wacko1:

I didn´t like at all when fj1100.com microfiche web was FJ club absorbed, only to avoid the people to get free the PN that They need

Hola Alf! I have been a fan since your Fast Jota days. Very cool to have you with us. I hope one day you can visit us. Just show up at the airport with your helmet, riding gear and toothbrush, and we will take care of the rest.  Pat

That's why I despise that particular forum.  However, if you desire parts fisches and numbers, they're freely available from yamaha directly (albeit US models only).  If you want to use a cross reference tool so you know what you're digging for in a junkyard (reverse lookup interchanges), you can use this site instead.  This amongst other great info is available on this forum. :)

Many thanks for your warm welcome, chaps. It is a pleasure to me to know that my web is useful, because a lot of work was (and is ) involved in it

When I relaunched my web a couple of months ago I considered about to organize all the FJ info that I could obtain, but I ended with the same spirit that I built the web in 2003: I only write about things that I´ve vastly tested, checked, run or modify in my FJs, and I recommend mods that I know that works (or not). And since 2003 I´ve have access to run my friends FJs, with their own mods too, that I only recommend if those work

Harvy

Hola Alf. I too have enjoyed reading your web site.

Further to Pats comments, same goes for Australia mate....if you come here, just bring your riding gear and I'm pretty sure there will be folks turn up at the airport to welcome you!

Cheers
Harvy

Welcome to the forum! I have never seen your website before. It looks like a lot of good info!

On a side note, I have been trying to get my wife to catch a RyanAir flight to Tenerife. For some reason, she doesn't want to go. Maybe I'll just go alone...  :blum1:
