WE'RE HERE!!!! :yahoo:
Neighborhood is nice and quiet, but soon oh soon there will the sound of FJ's coming up the road. Don't worry, I've already done that part too! It's cool up here, in the 40's tonite.
The rally dawg wants to know where Dean is!!

Anybody got kabin space and want to share the cost Friday & Saturday nights?  If I can avoid packing the tent, loading the bikes gets a little easier and it makes for an easier Sunday coming home.

Yeah, a wet tent is heavier too...  :)

We rode up the BRP today to see how far north you have to go before you have to detour...30 miles. Came back and got caught in some rain, but fortunately made it back to the campground before the heavens opened up. Tuesday is supposed to be rain all day....so that's my shopping day. Wood is also being delivered tomorrow afternoon!

FJ sighting this morning on my way to work. Not sure if it was just me but it looked rally bound. Red and white, maybe an 86. It was heading towards Asheville on I-26 around mile marker 13. Will see you all soon.

FJ Flyer

Bike's mostly packed.  One saddle bag liner left.  Plan on hitting the road at 0400 down to Dan's then Mabry Mills, then Boone.

Woo-hoo!

i wonder if people really grasp the context of what a "bundle" of our firewood is.  i know that if i didn't know better, i'm picturing a quantity one might stick under their arm and carry to the campsite.  you know, a bundle of firewood.  ( :

Well, as an example, here's the 2007 ECSR firewood order...

IIRC, we had almost no firewood left to burn on Sunday night.

In 2006, we actually ran out of wood by Sunday night.  Feeling bad, I bought a few of the pre-packaged wood from the KOA and had them sent down as I checked out.

They burn some big fires down there.  Seriously.

Maybe we can set something of Klavdy's on fire and rival the ECR fires? If he had kept is old FJ the excess pinecones alone would have alerted the FAA, NASA flight control, and and plenty of covert (Kick ass) anti-terrorists groups. How about a flaming Fez.....? A Fez cannon? The flaming tracer effect could be seen for miles.......Then kick-ass might shut us down........never mind.....Big fire, Koookaloooo.
