Valve stem color?

Pulled my header off today and looked in the exh ports  and # 3 cyl. both valve
stems look wet with oil. Valve seals?  All the others are a dry tan color.

Maybe?  Could also be blowing past a ring on that cylinder and coating the valve on the way past, but seals would surprise me less.  Compression test/leakdown would be a great place to start.  Head's probably coming off either way.

If the spark plug is wet or looks like its running rich on the #3 cylinder, rings may be the problem. My guess would be that the valve stem seals are the problem. Good luck
