The smoke blends in much better, although the clear may grab people's attention since it stands out more.

I also voted for the smoke.  It will transmit most of the light no problem I think and it looks much better IMHO.

I agree the clear stands out more, But the smoke would make it easier to get away from police cars.
Something I obviously know nothing about.

I asked the question to the manufacturer about the light output difference between smoke or clear.

He said the difference in not noted on his "lumen" output meter.

I can tell you from personal experience installing the one on my wifes bike, it is significantly brighter and like all led lights, crisp.

Randy, do you mean that it is significantly brighter than the stock tail light and bulb set up?  Sorry if I'm being dense, I just want to be sure that I understand correctly.

I like the stock red taillight but if i were to buy one of the 2 it would be the smoke.

It is brighter and more crisp; it does not have glow like the O.E. light. When you look at the brake light in my shop it is discomforting to look directly at it.

I received my Smoked Integrated light last week and installed on Saturday. I like the look. It flashes very quickly I believe due to the lower amp load on the flasher unit. Has anyone experienced similar results? I am thinking of adding a bulb inline to see if that cures my engineering issue. I like the look of loosing the Clubs/Turn Signals on the back of the 90. Most likely there will be one on the 84 in short order.
