Hey all

So, i serviced my forks today and the first interesting thing i found was this...

It seems the forks haven't had much love lately. The next interesting thing i found was this...

Progressive springs? The PO must have done something in my favour for once.

I had a lot of trouble getting the caps back on the forks but after a lot of fiddling around managed to get them to drop down.
I could feel the damper rod dropping down into it's D shaped hole in the damper but then it hit something solid. On the left fork i could feel it changing the setting when i turned it but not on the right. The locating screws at the bottom were in correctly.

So in the end i got the caps back on, but now I'm not sure what my dampening settings are on?
The forks seem to work correctly but is there any way to ensure my damper settings are in sync?

Cheers, Ben.
Life's pretty straight without twisties.

the D is indexed to the damping  so if you turn the adjusters to the same position the damping will be the same.

i would double check the one that seemed to hit something hard as it is possible to get it back together with the D rod not in the D hole.

Sorry to rain on your parade Ben, but those are the stock OEM springs.  You are not the first FJer to see those and think the PO put in Progressive springs - I thought the same thing first time I opened up my forks as well.
