Hello everyone, I obtained my FJ about 2 months ago and am having a great time riding. I live in Central California and the weather has not been to cooperative lately, but I am hoping to do some more riding soon. I have been reading through your forums and have found lots of good info from people who have been there and done that, It makes it much easier for me being new to an FJ to know what to expect or look for in my bike. Hope to enjoy my bike to the fullest and think this site will help me do that.

Welcome Shawn,

Lots of good folk here, and some have great depth of knowledge about the FJ.
No doubt you'll join in the opinion that the FJ is a great do-everything bike, if you haven't already.

Good deal, I am a little north in Oakdale and there are several guys in the Sacramento & Bay area as well. You might think about the West Coast Rally coming up in early June; http://www.fjrally.com/11WCR.html

Welcome to the group! Any pics of your machine? Tell us a little more about your riding past, the bike, what brought you to the FJ, etc. and we may even buy you a drink. You can post a question or opinion about oil, tires, guns, politics, or religion if you would like to engage in lively conversation with a diverse membership. Many knowledgeable folks here as well as wiseacres like myself.

The weather in the North East hasn't been cooperative lately either, maybe in about 8 weeks though.
