Just wondering if anyone knows of a place to buy aftermarket parts for the Alternator?

I was looking at oem parts and scared myself, $1200+ for a new one

Rectifier $330
Regulator $330
even the O-ring is $30
ouch is oem the only place to get parts? It's cheaper to buy another FJ. or two.

I can get those Electrosport regulators as well; http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?topic=273.msg3976#msg3976

I also have a source for the rectifier and O.E. regulator. I will have to call tomorrow and get pricing on them, but I am sure I can beat those numbers.

Travis,
I can get both the O.E. rectifier and regulator. They have them in stock and I can have them in my hand Monday.

O.E. Regulator    $275.13
O.E. Rectifier      $207.88

I also have one of the Electrosport regulators on the shelf as I previously mentioned.

Let me know if you are interested, I have a a large stock order leaving there today and I can get those parts added and save the shipping cost to me.

ouch...

Seriously, that must be ONE HELL of an O-Ring.

Live hardy, or go home.

Maybe it's not just an o-ring.  Maybe it's a ring that causes the big "O".  Think they'd sell for more, though.

Of course, we've already found one that causes a lack of the big "O".  That'd be a...

Thanks Randy,

I should have known you would be ready to help me out, as quick as I can ask.

so let me get this straight

O.E. Reg. $275
O.E. Rectifier $207

= $482

or Electrosport Reg/Rec. (It does both?) for $80.

hmmmmm  :scratch_one-s_head:
