Hey All,

Just worked how to get my introduction up (thanks Marsh).  :dash2:

My name is Bazil from sunny Perth, West Oz. I bought my first 84 FJ11 in 97, kept it stock for a couple years & then decided to pull it all apart to do the usual mods to her. Well life & the missus soon got in the way, and it was sittin in the back shed (still in pieces) till last year when I suddenly got a bit of inspiration. Have had a few bikes in between, but as hard as I try I cant get the FJ's outa my system. I got half way thru the rebuild & and suddenly found another FJ11 on the net. This one was a show bike & I couldn't take my eyes off her. Immaculate! Had to have her! So now I have 2, (1 still in a few pieces). Anyway, that's my story so far, will try and post a pic of her now, but I'm not the most computer savvy bloke out there.

Chow for now.
:bye2:

G'day and welcome to the group mate,

G'day Bazil, welcome to the group.

You will not find a better or more honest source of information for your FJ here.
Glad to here you have increased to two FJ1100's. I remember you from when you missed out on buying my FJ1100 last year. (It too was an immaculate show winning bike). Sadly good things aren't really appreciated until they are gone.

if you want a picture under your name you have to reduce the size of it.... i believe Marsh has it setup for 100x100 pixels

Hey teecee,

Yes you gave me the bug again, (the bitch bites hard!) I've still got photos of yours somewhere. R u going to get another one?

Like Frank says......they will work just fine.......when I removed the old 28s, I had no problems with mixture, just swapped to the bigger throats and tune was still fine. Jap domestic models have a speedo that reads in KPH to 180 only. Do you know Murray over there in WA......he pokes his face in here every now and again.   :hi:

FJZ1 1200 - It'll do me just fine.
Timing has much to do with the success of a rain dance.

Thanks Frank,

I'm still learnin my way around the site, seems pretty good but.

P.S. I can see how that "Kookaloo" is rather catchy!

My little sis made that word up as she was wheelying her 1978 YZ80 across my parents front yard...... i kind of "borrowed " it from her.......it just fits so perfectly when the FJ tach spins up around 8 grand in second gear     :yahoo:

Turn it up and enjoy  :good2:

Hi Bazil,

Yeah I'll probably get another FJ. In hindsight I was mad to sell the one I had but at the time I just had too many bikes/cars. Now that the stable has been cleared to one car/one bike it might be time for just one more bike

The avatar pic size is 150 pixels wide.  No height restriction.  This website will resize the pic to 150 pixels wide FOR YOU when you upload it!  So no worries there...you don't have to resize it beforehand.  It used to be 100 wide...but I changed it awhile back to 150...so we can actually see what's in the pic.

Thanks Graham / FjDave,

I wish I could take the credit for it, the guy who built it (Mike) was truly a bloke with attention to detail. There are still a few more mods I would like to do to her (LED brake lights & indicators, different mirrors & steel braided lines) but I wont be deviating to far from stock. I've just added a few more detailed photos back into my original introduction.

Bazil.
