According to         http://www.yamahafj1200.com/          quote "The Yamaha FJ1200 was first manufactured in 1989. It is the ideal alternative for classic models of the motorcycle variety which many people say are not the best choice for daily use. This Yamaha model is very easy to maintain and service. The top of its engine is very easily accessible. Mechanics find it easy to do service checks on it especially when it comes to curb balancing, spark plug access and checks on valve clearance. ".... i can imagine that "curb" balancing is an art, is that for latte breaks?... does that mean that my '86 1tx doesnt exist???? am i riding a phantom????    chuckles :wacko2:

Kopfjaeger

I'm sorry more to add.... are these people for real?????   "Another upgrade that has made this FJ1200 model even better is on suspensions. The suspensions have the ability to lengthen its life apart from making it a better performer and a good competitor in the racing-tour motorcycle market."......."
Many improvements have been made on the model since 1984. One of these changes has to do with shuffling of the deck whereby the players and positions have been changed several times. The model's main competitors are ZX-10 by Kawasaki and K100RS by BMW. "   ...but...you said it was made in 89... :dash2:......"Some changes that were done to the braking system are dearly missed to those who lived the experience. " what the????? my brakes are CRAP!!!!!! Tho' it IS AN EXPERIENCE!!!!!.... i have to stop im laughing hard  .... please feel free to 'ave a look if you haven't already!!!

I don't think I've ever seen a site that had so many errors of fact (and grammer) before.
My impression is that the site owner did not speak english as a first language, but it all seems to be spelled (spelt) correctly.  Weird!

I think this is  someone trying to make a couple of bucks with ads (google sponsored) on their 'blog'.  When (if ever) you click on one of the ads, they make money.  They wrote a bunch of cycle sounding jargon, hit spell check, and posted it.  I will give them credit for I doubt that they plagiarized any of it, as little of it makes any sense.

I do like the color scheme of the bike that is pictured on the site.  Anyone ever seen this color scheme?

The article did remind me that I will have some questions for you all this spring when I attempt balancing my curbs .

Harvy-

That sucks, pass along my good wishes please?

Also, the flooding up his way was on the news this AM -they said that the water is to crest at 35 meters above normal.  That's more than 100 feet!  They said there were posinous snakes and crocks in the waters too, just to make life intersting. -damn.

Still folks that were interviewed were surprisingly stoic.

Hardy folks you Aussies, hardy folk.

Dan..... I think they got their unit of measure confused....... the Fitzroy river is supposed to peak today at 9.4 meters.......that's around 30 feet.

That is up at Rockhampton.......around 1000 Km north of us. While wet here, its nowhere near that bad for us in southern Qld at the moment.
Its interesting to note that the Fitzroy is rising even though there has been no rain to speak of for around a week in Rocky.......but....... the river catchment area for that river is huge and all the rain that caused the evacuation of entire towns several hundred kms upstream is now making its way to the Pacific..... via Rockhampton!......... I heard a report that every hour there is twice the amount of water flowing past Rocky than in the entire confines of Sydney Harbour!

Yeah, not good to be sick, and these can linger for quite a while.  Malaria, Ross River Fever, Denge Fever ..... all are around especially in some of the places klavdy visits.  Mosquito's not brave, just doesn't know any better.
