Hello everyone,      I'm a first owner of an 86 FJ with less than 10 k on the bike.  Bought it a few weeks ago and haven't been able to ride it at all yet.   Sold my Concours last summer , then bought a 80 CBX and rode it awhile and have since sold that.  If I can make the FJ comfortable for me to ride I think it may be a keeper.  Have to put a windscreen on it and some handlebar risers and I should be good to go.  Right now I can just stand there and look at it all day.  I just love the look of it.  I know its going to be a real attention getter.   Planning on putting some great miles on this spring.    DCW

Welcome to the group!

First sign you have the right bike is just being able to enjoy looking at it .

Welcome aboard, they're even more fun to ride! I've heard it said if you can walk away from your bike without looking at it, you've got the wrong bike!

Frank,   I noticed in your post you have a picture of your
FJ with some bags.  What do you have and do you like them.  Thats on my list real soon .   Thanks   DCW

the luggage on my bike is Hepco becker.

they still make racks for our beloved FJs (made to order)

personally i think they suit the looks of the FJ quite nicely, are extremely durable and handy for travelling  :good2:

welcome to the group.  I sat and looked at my bike for the time it took to have a coke.  After many bikes this is the one that fits all the requirements.  I'm 67 and I dont bend as much as I use to,  This thing just fits :flag_of_truce:

Yeah Jimmy,

I have to agree with you about our steed of choice.  I went through a ZZR1200 and a Bandit 1200 before finding the FJ I have now.  I have had 2 other FJs before the Kawi and Suzi, and the FJ just fits me perfectly.  Handling and power are spot on.  I rode a FJR1300 and it just seemed to be too big and heavy for the sporting aspect.  I rode a GSXR and a VFR and had to visit my chiropractor afterwards, being 6'2" tall.   The FJ, as many have said, may not be perfect on all levels, but it's just so damn good at everything that I find it to be the perfect bike.  Nuff said.
