I was bored this afternoon so I went out on my bike a made a video in the snow. I rode my Honda CBF250 (the FJ would have been suicide) The roads were ok until after the village where things get tricky. I nearly lose it at 3:20. It's been unusually cold and snowy here in the UK for the past month.

Well done Stuart, its not easy to ride in the frozen stuff. I enjoy seeing other parts of your world through your eyes. I'm sure you have told us before but what type of Video Cam are you using and how is it mounted. Thanks in advance...

Cabin fever already? Nicely done, looks like less salt on the road outside town, or more snow at higher elevations?

It's been the coldest winter in the UK since the dawn of time, apparently! I had my last ride about six weeks ago as I too wouldn't dream of running the FJ in snow and ice - why,I can't even handle a car! I crashed the missus' car on ice whilst returning home from night shift on the day the snow came ! Think it'll be another three months at least before I travel again on two wheels.

Eric,

I use a Medion Life S47000 palm sized sport cam. Cost £40($60) from an Aldi discount store. Shoots in HD (750p wide screen) I attach it to the helmet chin piece using a small bracket onto the camera's tripod mount.

Thanks Stuart,
I recently picked up a Creative Vado HD camera and was curious how you mounted yours. The video looks good, very clear and not much bouncing around. Thanks for the help..

Cabin fever indeed. Depressing weather - it was ride the bike or start drinking vodka in the afternoon! A bit of both regarding the road. A couple of hours later it would have been impassable due to more heavy snow.

Well done!
That was nice.
Looks like we here in Iowa have more snow than you do, lucky us, right?

Leon,

Despite our northerly location Britain doesn't get much snow compared to other places at our latitude. The prevailing wind is from the Atlantic making the weather generally damp & mild. Last winter & this have been harsh and this has caused chaos because we are not prepared for it.

Mark,

I've just trudged across the arctic wastes to my local Off Licence (liquor store) for a bottle of Russia's finest & some Polish beer. Since the roads are snowed up and the bike is my only transport it looks like no work tomorrow.
