I've been getting a lot of requests for the carb kits over the last few months.  Unfortunately, I haven't had the time to respond to everyone in a timely fashion.  I was also running low on hardware.

So, if you've requested a kit and never heard from me, I apologize for not getting back to you.  If I said I will send you a kit and you never got one, well I'm not very organized.  I have a bunch of old requests and addresses and don't know if I sent a kit or not.

If I promised to send a kit and didn't, I apologize for being so rude.

So, if anyone still wants a bolt kit, I have restocked my hardware and will be getting a little vacation time in the next two weeks to put some kits together.

This will be my last offer.  Once I run out of stock, RPM Randy will be taking over this "business."

For those of you that are overseas, please contact Randy for a kit.  I have 3 kids playing sports and don't have the time to stand in line at the post office and fill out the paperwork.  Randy is better set up to ship than I am.

Sorry about the commercial, we now return you to your regular programming.

Thanks,
DavidR

David,
I would love to have a kit! I'm not sure of the best way to contact you, I'll PM you as well.
Thanks,
Doug

Speaking of carb kits, I have found a company that is machining carbs parts for me and I got a look a the final samples last week. We are actually going to be doing some flow testing of these items this weekend to verify they are the same or better than O.E. parts. They are going to start production in January and I will be assembling a kit that will include all wear items in the carbs, needle & seats, stock jetting, o-rings and all of the stainless steels screws for the carb bank.

Once David has depleted his stock of screw kits I will also offer those; unless you are overseas. (see above)

I am excited about the carb kits since I have a company that is going to match the factory parts exactly and offer them at a substantial savings over the O.E.

I hope to have the website up & running by then as well so these items can be listed for everyone to see.

Flow testing? This sounds like more than o rings and ss screws. Randy, what are you flow testing?

A 37mm or larger carb body?  TIA

Pat, easy now...

These are replacement parts for the O.E. carbs. The flow testing is to ensure the parts that I am having made flow at least as well as the Mikuni parts in regards to characteristics and rate.

David,
I got my kit from you years ago.  The time and effort it must of taken to put it all together far exceeded what you asked us to pay.  Many of my mods would not have happened if it was not for your advice and encouragement.  You have had more influence than you may realize. All things considered you've got way more good will banked than you need to apologize for.

So, in case it gets lost in all the noise: Thank you.

(but I do feel some guilt for not keeping my FJ as clean as you've shown it could be)
