Just found this great site after riding my 87' fj1200 for a year. Me and my son both ride 87 fj's and just finished a 7000 mile trip to Alaska and back. We may have been the only fj's on the Alaska Highway this summer. We got a lot of positive attention from the Harley and BMW GS riders.

Welcome! What do we call you? Jon?  Great trip btw. That's what FJ's are all about. Getting on the open road and riding! Kudos to you.
Tell us more about you, and your FJ's, and your trip. Any problem with gas stops? Gravel road? Where did you camp/sleep?

Details....must have details.

Welcome to the forum.  Congradulations on your trip. Matching bikes and with your son; memories for a lifetime I'm sure.  I'd love to see some of your pictures if you ever have the time to post some up.  The first question that comes to mind is, what tires did you run and how did they hold up?  I've heard that that road can be hard on tires. ? How did the whole bike like the ride?

As Pat said, Details,...must have details.
