You may scoff but during this season's riding the most common bike I saw, by a long way, was a BMW GS decked out with all the Touratech accessories. Those guys must give thanks daily to Ewan McGregor for the business he put their way.

Beemers are really getting the poseur reputation now.  Just like with HD, another case of the 90% giving the rest a bad name.   :biggrin:

I got to ride a new 09 12GS down route 10 from Surry back to Chester 2 weekends ago..  I liked it, very fun..  it was surprisingly fast, it took off like an FJ when wound up..  I would definitely ride one out for a latte in a whale foreskin suit.
