Quick question for anyone.  Will a fuel tank from a 92 fit on an 89?  Or is there a difference (besides color) :pardon:
Do not argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

It will fit physically.  Fuel petcock is the same on both years.
Both are fuel pump bikes so there should be no problem.

Is it the same shape and everything else?  I guess what I'm asking is: Is this the same tank thoughout 1989-1992?

As far as I know they are the same shape 89-93. You going to replace the tank??

The base P/N is the same 3CV so it's a bolt on.

Mine is really beat up from the previous owner, so yes I'm wanting to replace it. Would rather not mess with the whole paint thing though. Been waiting (patiently) to see if anyone in the U.S. offers the dark blue one for sale at a price I can afford. So far no luck, so I was weighing the option of swap and repaint vs continuing to keep an eye open.  :boredom:
