 Hi All,
I just became an owner of a FJ1100, I bought it when it was not running (Challenge for me)
Everything was loose and i had to mount all things together.
but after i adjusted the cable tree it worked a bit ( started without Air filter and exhausts )
Didn't run good (of course)
But because i already thought it wasn't running OK without the airfilter, I cleaned the carbs and hooked on the airfilter and also made some home made exhausts(most of this was broken)

It ran not OK but it stayed on for a while.
After i knew the engine was OK I started to bleed the clutch , it needed a lot of DOT 4 but after some time no air bubbles I tried to use it(no success)

After i did this and messed around with the backtire in the 1st gear it didn't run free
The engine wont turn when i try to start(or it will turn very heavy)
Now the only thing i could here was the clicking of the start relays.
Could it be that i  damaged something?

The starter engine runs OK and the dynamo is also not stuck..............
Did I maybe broke the oil pump? because I tr yd to turn wheel both sides with force................
Note:
Also something  stupid of me; I assumed there was no oil in the engine, but I disconnected the motor block from the frame now, and when i drained the oil, 6 Liters came out of it.

Sorry for my bad English i am Dutch.
If any one has an idea please let me know, i would love to ride this machine......
BTW it's an 84 model, And probably has already stood still for some time.

Timmus,

Welcome.

If all you can hear is the starter relay clicking, your battery is almost flat.  RE-charge it and the starter and engine should spin.

Way too much oil.  If you didn't get hydraulic lock, you've probably not damaged anything.
There's an oil sight glass on the right side of the engine, just in front of the brake pedal.  You want the oil level to about the top of that glass.

The clutch system is notoriously hard to bleed.  If its been sitting for a long time, the clutch slave piston may be frozen in place and its likely that the seals are rotten.  It is almost certain that you'll have to rebuild or replace the clutch slave.

It is very difficult to turn the rear wheel when the bike is in 1st gear.  Mechanical advantage is working against you.  You've probably not damaged anything.

There are a number of safety interlocks on the starter.  It should not spin if you're in ANY gear without the clutch being held in.

Hope some of above has helped.
Your english is way better than my dutch.

Start by putting the correct amount of some greasy lubricant in the sump.  Probably a filter as well.

Continue by swapping to a known good battery.  Don't feel bad about disconnecting the thing that's in there, and possibly using jump leads off your car.

Once you get it to spin, you may want to aquire the use of a compression gauge and try it out.  That'll give you a rough guess at the motor's condition, and help determine if there's anything wrong.  Possibly there is damage from hyrolock. Possibly any of a number of things, really.

If it's sat for ages, define ages.  Would be unsurprising to learn that the rear brakes (or the front, far as that goes) are half jammed on.

Pull the airbox and ensure that it's not full of oil.  Possible to pump a lot of it up there (or out the breather if you have individual filters).

Otherwise, Arnie's dead right about the lot.  And his dutch sucks.  So don't feel too bad.
