Ah, filming chicks on bikes while driving your Subaru with the S.O. in the passenger seat. That takes some cheek. Speaking of cheek, she was not wearing an (obvious) thong. Although the lack of gear does absolutely qualify for squid status. So yes, better but room for more better!

i have been thru a ton of tires and i cant say i've ever had any that felt remotely slick like that.... that went out like he hit a puddle of diesel fuel.

at least he doesnt have to worry about keeping the bike perfect (pristine) anymore.........

Could be COLD, or a cold/ new combination as well.

Unfortunately I know of what I speak.  As embarrassing as this is, I had a similar thing happen to me in my own driveway on cold tires.  (Same bike too).  In my case the bike was new [to me] and I was unfamiliar with the abrupt throttle when the engine was still warming up.  Outside air temp was ~45F, and the P.O. had warned me that the Dunlap Qualifers (road/ track compound) were 'slippery below 50F'.  I had, until that very moment, taken that to mean that I should probably not corner too hard before getting some heat in the tires; that perhaps if I had TRIED for a burn out, maybe it would spin up a bit easier...  I was wrong.  That little miss-calculation set me back ~ $900...  

Worst part about it?  My kids watched the entire thing happen...
