Got to say I've been guilty of coming on obnoxiously strong trying to make an impression on a group I wanted to fit in with and had it explained to me that it wasn't necessary. I'm still a wise ass but I try to get to know someone before I start with the merciless mocking. This site and the related forum features have always worked flawlessly for me, thus all the time I spend lurking. Even if there were glitches, I would be patient, cooperative, and helpful in return for the vast amount of technical knowledge, advice, camaraderie, and humor I have received from here. The freedom of this site DOES require a lttle responsibility. Guess I'm trying to agree with both sides. So ban the fucker if worth it for the short term gain, give him a (3rd? 4th?) chance if worth it for democracy. Or lure him to a rally and let nature take it's course.

Well, for what it's worth, I didn't ban him.  He sent me a PM asking me to delete his accounts a couple of days ago....I didn't.  (he never actually deleted it himself - which you can do - then I have to approve the deletion).  That happens a fair bit from people who never post (wanting to checkout the files section I gather).  I think if you delete someones account it also deletes their posts?  I'm not 100% sure actually...I need to check that out via testing.  I wouldn't want to delete the history of this incident.

Note: he never sent me a PM asking me to reset the password on his old account...that would have been logical to me if I were him and created a new account because I was locked out of my old one.

Anyway - he is free to post here - I suppose I was feeling a bit rash with my ban response.  Then again - I can re-read everything and then I feel like banning him again.  Oh well...I'm over it for now.

I've not stopped in here for a bit, maybe I should of waited a little longer.

it has to be something with your computer, I don't ever remember this site working slow, loading pages (even with smileys) or typing.

and i have a wireless to boot.

so before you blame the forum software you should check your own, or at the very least check with other people to see if they have

similar problems before you just start running your mouth (fingers) about how much this site's software sucks.

The only problem I have ever had with this forum, or software therein........has been when I try reading posts, or posting when I am logged in through AOL software.
If I log in directly through IE, everything works perfectly........
I blame AOL for that.......

I'm running Internet Explorer, as mentioned, I have no problems on any other major web forum.  

I've been banned from this site and had my IP blocked, so that part of the software works brilliantly!

As we all know, there are ways around anything.

My best to all, this is a great forum (other than my issue with the software, that is!)

Yes I did ban him.  He can fuck off.  He requested that I delete his account and so I did.  Then I saw that it was he who had posted the poll up on top.  I only realized this because as I was looking at his account I saw him CHANGE the poll questions so that the answers that people had voted on were completely changed while adding new derogatory selections.  In other words - rigging a vote.  This is completely unethical to me and will not be tolerated.  He had multiple opportunities to be a decent human being - yet he still had to go being a dick and slinging mud.  So I banned him.

Then the whiny little bitch FINIALLY sent me an e-mail saying he couldn't believe I banned him and wanting to be let back in.  I did not respond.  He can continue to go to his neighbors houses and create accounts on their computers and I will continue to ban those IP addys as well.
