And add one from the real West, not as per Ned's map.

Amongst other bikes, I have an original 88 tucked away in the garage.

Hi Harvy,

Yes the same one,

I hang around a bit, don't have much to post though. I do like Marsh's new format here.

The FJ tends to sit quietly in the garage these days, every now and again gets the dust washed off and a run.

Unlike most, I tend to leave my bikes original as the 88 is. My 90, which was far from original, was sold late last year although I still see it around a bit. The FJR has Staintunes but it came with those but without the restrictors. However got some restrictors from another on the FJR Group here in Perth, much kinder on my ears. Have another Yam, a couple of Honda's as well as a couple of 'sometime in the future maybe' projects that cost nothing.

Wrinkly12 here.    Got my 92 FJ1200  on the road and registered last week.   Sold a Hyosung 650 cruiser and now the FJ is my only ride.  Goes well and looks pretty good all in white.    I put some pictures on the gallery (Its the white one!! :good:)   Rod in Melbourne.

Holy crap - look at the handlebar on that!!  Is that the stock Police handlebar?  I would be interested in seeing a more detailed picture of the handlebar area and the adaptor they used to fit it on the top of the triple tree.  It's not that often that I see FJ stuff that I haven't seen before!  Is that handlebar comfortable?  Have you ever ridden a "stock" FJ for handlebar comparison purposes?

Oh - does the digital speedo work?  I wonder where it get's it's signal from.  Are there any different pickups on the front wheel I wonder?

Yes the bars are standard for this configuration.    Look like BMX bike bars.  I have posted some other photos on the bars in the gallery.  No have have not ridden a standard FJ but my last bike was a Hyosung GV650 cruiser and I like to sit up pretty straight.

Re the Police speedo.    It currently reads about 5km under the normal speedo speed.    I don't know where the pick up is.   There are no other cables to the front wheel and nothing on the back.   I thought maybe it could be wired into the speedo.   I would expect that it is able to be calibrated as Victoria Police Digital Speedometers have to be.    Owing that it is 16 years old, it may be a bit hard to research.
