I have purchased a gear set shift drum and forks 
They were undercut by Fast by Gast.
They may be 1986 FJ1200 gears or 85 1100 gears im not sure what year.
I can count the teeth on the gears to find out.
My asshole neighbor called the cops on me a few nights back and I got a ticket for trying to start my bike.He has called the cops on my before for starting my waverunner in the driveway before but this time I got a ticket.My fj had been harder to start for a couple of days if it would start at all so I was trying to jump it and then go for a ride to charge the battery.Problem was with the bat cables I cleaned them real good and we are back where we were before the starting problem.I will look at the gears in the next day or two and see if they are 1100 gears or 1200 gears and will let you all know what they are.I am not going to put them in yet but will post up when I do.

The obvious question is "how do you get a ticket for trying to start your FJ?"

Ticket was at 10:40 pm he was here for at least 1/2 hour before that so my neighbor must have called before 10 I think.After work I ran around trying to find a new battery I went to 4 places then i went home.I put my old battery back in and gave her a jump and was going to go for a ride to cool off because it had been a stresfull day.I had the choke on 1 click and was puting the panels on and the seat then I had to put the hood down on the truck and go inside to close the garage door.Thats when she died so I pushed her back into the garage and went in and washed my hands.15 min later i went out and put the charger on the battery and tried to start the bike.Thats when the cop walked up and said why was i runing my motorcycle I told him I was not and he said he heard it and there was a complaint.I told him he was wrong that it wont even start then he changed his story to he heard me trying to start it.Then he said it is kind of loud so I said if you realy think so give me a ticket.Then he said OK and he did.I live at 2501 south st and the neighbor is listed as at 2415 south st.I refused to sign the ticket because it was BS.

Reving a motorcycle several times at an unreasonable hour disturbing neighbor's at 2415 south st.

My bike was out of commision I needed a jump to start it and all I was going to do was go for a ride.The last time he called them it was 5 pm on a Sat and he said the smoke from my 2 smoke exhaust went in his upstairs window.Cops %^&&% told me I couldnt work on them there to take them somewhere else.
Hes just an ignorant SOB and so are the cops they send.
I wish I could say what I really feel you have no idea.

Dude, they're all jealous! THEY want an FJ! That scenario definitely sucks, and we hear ya. Don't you hate it when you get in trouble for doing nothing?
You could understand if it was no exhaust, wheelies, burnouts, but c'mon- jump starting? And to put the other address on the ticket, it's like entrapment for when you finally give the guy something to complain about. Hang in there Scott.

Had court today case was dismissed.Whille the cop was telling the judge he heard the fj running when he walked up I told the judge he was lying and the judge got pissed of and threatened me with contempt of court.Cop changed his story and admited he did not hear it running and that it would not start when I tried to start it for him.The Judge knew there was no case just an iddiot neighbor and a worthless young clown cop.Judge had the clerk tell me to leave the building because I was waiting outside the courtroom to see the look on my neighbors face and he could see me through the glass door.I wanted to look them in the eye but got sent packing.

Glad to hear it.  Have you considered putting a sign up in your front yard -something like "My Neighbor's a Dick" with an arrow?

I did think about doing that with my Isuzu rodeo rear window and parking at the end of the driveway.I had a cop drive by my bike yesterday at Jewel and come back to ask if it was a FJ he lives a few streets away and has a 86 Vmax.I was Portilos earlier and I watched some one walk around my bike for 5 min I thought he was going to come ask me about it in at the table.I am constantly being asked aboutthe FJ at intersections and hearing about bikes people had back in the 80's so every one likes my bike except for the Neighbors.I dont understand them at all.So far I have not done anything to them no need to fuel the fire I just hope that they were asesed court costs.

Another nice thing to do for those special nieghbors is to buy a trac phone, the cheap disposable ones, and order up some pizza (or four) for him some night.

Maybe even send a cab or two over.

I know, those are bad things, but I did a prank on a guy once and those were a couple of the "presents" i got from him one night.....

Craigslist posts are also an option, a wide variety of fun could be had from there, but again, what goes around comes around -

Better idea, make friends with the cop that has the VMax, and everyone else that might be "on your side" should the need arrive.

Makes me glad I live where I do, we all "get along" and put up with each other.

sounds like you  need a fj rally in your front yard with about 20 bikes and a pig roasting on a spit over an open fire .
some kegs of beer and a live band. Make sure to invite the v-max cop and pull a permit. potato cannon would be a nice touch with prizes for accuracy.

I thought about that as well but I am trying hard to behave my self.I rent and I live with Abbey she would not be happy if I was antagonising the clowns next door.She is very nice to me if you know what I mean.Tom the head clown will be out there in the morning cutting his grass with a big fat cigar in his mouth im tempted to be out working on my bike or waverunners so I can see if he is man enough to look me it the face.The reality is if I dont see his face and he stays away from me I dont care what he does its when he interferes with my life then I want to hurt him.If I dont see him I dont get angry and all is good.So untill he fucks with me again i will have to let it go thanks for letting me rant.

What mpg should I see I have 1985 dynotune stage III setup.And what about top speed.I know spec sheet claims 149 mph but I know top speed if faster than that.

Well, when I first got my 84 FJ it had the Vance and Hines exhaust and I think a stage two tune.  I would get in the mid 40's on the backroads doing around 60 or so.  I had some work done on the carbs last fall and had them tuned a bit more aggressively and I dropped down to about 40.  I now get in between 36-39, but as I just switched to a 18/39 setup on my drive I hope to get a mile or two back.
