1991 Carb question...

Got a carb question for the experts... I have a 1991 FJ1200 that I'm mounting the carbs and I don't remember if there should be anything connected to the T joints between #1 and 2 carbs, and #3 and 4. It looks like there should be a line of some sort. The parts diagrams that I have found list the part as #32, pipe, starter con.

Anybody know what connects there? I don't want to do this operation twice!!

Should be 2 overflow hoses that route around the right side of the heat shield and through the loop on the back of the engine.
