I've got a '89 FJ that has never given me a days heartache, until now. :ireful: The fuel gauge needle now started bouncing up and down when I move it. What could be the cause of this??

Arnie

Probably the damping fluid "Dimethescone" has leaked out.
There should be a post in the files about how to fix this.

Cheers,
Arnie

mine always reads empty but bounces around too. I just fill it up every 125 miles.
