We're off to the Great Ocean Road in October, and going all the way to Mt. Gambier just to make another state and have a sticky at Blue Lake.  On Saturday I did a few things to the beast getting it ready:

  • Fitted a cigarette lighter socket to the right hand fairing infill to use with the phone charger and airbed pump.
  • Refitted the Gearsack Rack to carry all the stuff.
  • Ran it for a while to keep the charge in the battery (it's been out of rego. since May).

Just have to fit the standard length gear shift lever that's coming this week (finally) and try to source a replacement screen (mine is horribly cracked) and we'll be good to go.  Other than the above it's stock except for a 4 into 1 exhaust and some Hella twin tone horns which you can just see mounted to the oil cooler mounts.

Bring on leaving from the ACT, heading into NSW, VIC, SA and back through VIC and NSW home.

Hey that's a great looking bike.

What kind of exhaust is on it? Is it 4 into 1 or 2?

same. nice pipe. what is it? other bloke on here has a kerker and am slowly tossing up what to get. my gsx is getting full yoshi treatment come the day :hi:

There's no brand on the pipe itself but one of the clamps has IXIL stamps in it.  I don't know all of the history of this bike but it's a 4 into 1 and sounds beefy but not too loud.

Thanks for the comments about the bike.

Yeah thats a nice bike.. Hit the GR week days as the weekend traffic is a shocker. Grab the BEARS top 100 rides and there are a few in between pollywood and SouthOz. I done a ride that area not long a go. http://farriders.com/forum/index.php?topic=2380.0  Most of all have fun..
