Darn thing won't turn off!!!!

Went for a ride the other day... Pulled up turned the key,,, Still running... had to unhook the battery and start pulling fuses... first thought ignition.. Pulled it completly apart still runs wont stop.. any thoughts... I cant begin to count how many things I couldnt get to start... But stop????   KVD

Melted wires below the steering head caused this on my Dad's '90.  He found the wire melted together, bypassing the ign switch.  We figure it was from too much time running in the garage.  Let us know if that's what you find!

Ed... Spot on!!!!!! There is a connector right at the tree that had melted together... swapped it out with three connectors... starts and stops!!!! Thanks... KVD

Same thing on my 86 only it was on the left side, right beside the battery! Wires were twisted and had chaffed threw. Man was that fun to find :dash2:
