More or less, yes. If it could be cut or stamped from one piece it'd be easier.  That would be the left side.
I have access to a 3000W Co2 laser and some 0.125" 304 SST. Oh, and some Solid Design software to make digital prototypes. Oh, and a powder coat shop in-house... Piece of cake.....  :dance2:
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

Stalled on this project, I need a set to reverse engineer. Simi_Ed will loan me his from his 89 when he takes them off and cracks into his tranny for repair....

Wouldn't mind a set of those for myself.  I'd still go with powder coat black though, just because it blends in nicely when the bags are removed.
Do not argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Just to be sure I get the size correct before having some cut, please confirm the following:
From the 3/8" mounting hole center to the bottom of the first bend is 2.88 inches, from the front of the flange with mounting hole to the front of the flange with FJowners on it is 3.38. I have the rest of the measurements from your prior post.

Marsh, what font did you use for the "FJowners.com" web page??? I want to use the same font if I can.

How about a big heavy laser cut FJowners.com medallion on a thick chain. Each one can have your club name cut in around the outer diameter..... You can have your Bling if you order the high end model....

Maybe a vest made out of perforated (need to stay cool in the summer) 5052 aircraft aluminum? Not very flexible, that's why I chose a vest, you would need prehensile arms to get through the sleeves. Always thinking...

hmmmmm, all brilliant ideas mate, ill have a vest made from titanium, better sparks if I  fall down while staying cool, , , not into bling, maybe just a bracelet made from stainless, would also act as a throttle lock on long rides   :good2:

And here I thought you were being facetious! That's great access!
I've used small stiff springs with hooks to straighten out my soft bags. The bags have a ring on the inboard side at the bottom and run the other spring hook down to the passenger pegs. It works marginally to straighten the bags. But the bracket is by far the way to go.

I made a similar sort of thing to this a while ago to stop my bags sagging . A quick word of warning , put some sponge covered in vinyl on the bit that touches the bag because the vibrations made the bag brace (thats what I called mine ..lol) cut into the bag after a while . Once I coved mine they were ok ! Some rubber would probably work too.

Just my 2 cents
Buy a car ? Why in the hell would I want to do THAT ???
