Well shoot, those sizes fit my modded FJ. I just bought a pair of Michelin Pilot Power 2CT's off their Jake Wilson site for $201 delivered without that nifty coupon code. I'm very happy with the price, delivery, and tires!

Sounds like I'll be getting another set from there as well, 4500 miles and mine are done! Great grip, never let me down (literally) despite pushing the limits of my skill.

Hell, didn't realize I got the Angels in July.  The PR2s just started showing the wear bar, on the front, anyway.  Got over 15K miles on the PR2s, so it will be interesting to see how the Angels do.  If they come close, I may stay with them, depending on how they feel.  Never liked the feel of the PR2.  Maybe they improved it with the new PR3.

Hopefully, will do the tire change next weekend.  Got a decent deal on the Cycle Hill tire changer at the DC bike show.  Should be here by thursday.  No more spoons!

Hey Chris,
Be sure and report on that tire changer when you get a chance to use it.  I'm still using the Jon Cain method of cutting off the old tires and spooning the new ones on.

Will do.  After spooning on my last two sets on the FJR and the rear tire on the FJ, as well as Henry's rear tire, I succumbed to the temptation of an easy tire change.  A buddy can whip off tires with spoons, no problem, but not me.  I'm going for the, hopefully, easier method.

I can change a LOT of tires for $465...... Damn.   It looks a lot like the Harbor Freight tire changer.

A guy at work has the harbor freight changer.  Its crap.  He can do it faster with spoons than that thing. 

In any case.  I assemble it last night.  Its pretty solid.  Hope to do the changes this weekend.  Probably tomorrow.  Its my sons birthday.

Worth it to me to stop struggling with the spoons.  Maybe not for you.

Having seen both in action, the Cycle Hill machine looks a lot better...

Chris, did you notice if they have the hitch mount available yet?

yep, they have a hitch mount.  also a mount that you drive your car on to hold it in place.  I got the floor mount kit with the big package; I bolted it to some plywood.

So I finally got some time to change out the PR2s with the set of Angle STs that have been sitting in the garage since July.  So the Cycle Hill tire changer really made it easier, no fumbling with spoons, killing my knuckles and cursing like a drunken sailor.  I did the front tire using only the instructions and memory.  Instructions really didn't help, as I got the big package with the arm and the yellow thingy, and they weren't covered.  So I watched the No Mar video online before I did the rear tire and it went much easier.  I'm still on the steep side of the learning curve.  Changed out the tire quickly enough to have enough time to change the final drive oil and pull the drive shaft and lube the splines.  Static balance on the Marc Parnes and they are good to go.

Wow Chris...that is impressive. 15000mls on the pr2's. I put a set pr2's on last summer and have hardly any miles on them so far. Still trying to get them balanced properly.
Hope I get anywhere near that kind of mileage...
