I am a longtime Yamaha rider, with a just purchased 85 fj 1100. It seems to be mechanically ok in spite of some very dubious stuff, like a missing synchro vacuum port plug. "I dont know why it idles at 4000" LOL. Right now,my priorities with this bike are a new windshield, confirm synch before plugging port, and changing neglected oil.
Cheers!

Welcome to the forum. FJ1100's are my favorite .
I bought my last windscreen from Zero Gravity .
The left two intake vacuum ports should be connected to the ignition module for an antismog function and the fuel petcock for fuel shutoff.
The petcock has a prime position that allows fuel to flow with no vacuum present . You can use that position to run the bike while your vacuum gauges or manometer are connected to the vacuum ports for carb balancing.

Welcome Juan! I glad that poor bike is in your hands now.

Welcome Juan,

Very hair to see another FJ being given the love it deserves  :good2:

They're superb bikes once properly set up and maintained.
