Me again, while I have the rear wheel off is it possible for me to replace these rusty bolts and nuts one at a time without opening a can of worms? One picture is the single bolt that holds the top of the shock the other bolts are two of the ones at the bottom of the shock.

If unbolt the whole shock assembly will it be difficult to get back in place? I'm wondering if the shock will open up a little once released from tension and make it difficult for a newbie like me to get back in place. I'm replacing rusty nuts and bolts slowly over time as I pass through areas as I don't want to wind up with a basket case. If I can take the whole shock assembly out and reinstall without issue maybe I would give it a paint job.

BTW you guys have been great answering all my questions with this restoration! I would NEVER be able to properly resurrect this FJ without everyone help.
