Hi, I recently bought a 1984 FJ 1100 and absolutely love the bike!
Sadly, due to various reasons, I've been having trouble with it running properly.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good mechanic in the Houston area?

I can't find a shop that will touch the bike due to it's age. I've done some work on my own, but can't seem to get her running properly.

Thank you!

Let me guess, you stored your bike with E-10 gas in the carbs?

You can take your chances with a local mechanic who may or may not know how to "properly" disassemble, clean and rebuild your Mikuni CV carbs....or you can remove the carbs yourself, drain the fuel out, box them up and send them to Robert @ RPM in Oakdale, Ca. where he will expertly ultrasound clean, rejet and rebuild them. Get yourself a new oem vacuum fuel petcock from RPM while you're at it...

You will get back a set of carbs that you can plug and play.

If you were in Dallas I would send you over to David Raforth's house.

Cheers.   Pat
