FZR1000 EXUP swingarm in 3CV

First of all, I don't think this would be suitable for bikes with stock footrest hangers, the sides of the arm would be very close , if not hit them.

My arm had already had its width reduced to fit my YZF600, so unsure what you would need to remove, if anything from a standard EXUP pivot.

The YZF pivot tube sparer was machined down and pressed into the EXUP spacer to match the YZF swingarm bolt to the swingarms needle roller bearings.

When I trial fitted the arm it sat far to high with the stock dogbones due to the differences in the distance between dogbone mounts of the arm, shorter tie bars would be needed I removed the ties and lowered the wheel to the ground, well would had done if the shock hadn't come into contact with the lower rear edge of the shock tunnel in the arm.

Out came the grinder with a flap disc and I removed about 5-6 mm of the area that came into contact with the shock, refitted it and checked again, at the moment, with aprox 90mm dogbones I guess the rear wheel is about an inch off the ground with the bike on the stand, I'd like to get it closer to raise the rear a little higher so I'll lower the wheel until the springs just about touching with no weight on the arm so that should hopefully prevent it hitting it should the shock top out and give me maximum height at the rear.

So I answered my own question elsewhere on this forum, yes it fits, but probably more suitable arms out there.

Looks cool Joe. Are you planning on using the stock FJ shock?

It really depends on how it turns out, if it looks as I want I'll splash a bit of cash on some nicer parts. Hagon in there atm and will do for now.

Biggest issue with the arm for most people is the interference with the foot peg plates if I recall correctly.  Not an issue for you with you rearsets.  Exhaust clearance might be an issue depending on the system you are using.

Looks good  :drinks:

Have a 4--1 Remus, but it's going to need some work either way, the end can's going to be far to low to match what I have planned for the tail piece.
