Went to ride my bike to an appointment this morning and discovered the large nut that sits on the steering stem was missing. I know it didn't just vibrate off. I checked with Cycleshack across the street, and Yamaha doesn't make it anymore. I'm hoping RPM can source one for me. Guess it's time to invest in a new alarm system for my bike.

110 NM on that one

I was wondering about that. Thanks! I have a torque wrench, but I don't remember actually using it last time I tightened it. So it is *possible* I just lost it on the road somewhere.

If you havent been on long trips lately you might get lucky trying to find it by riding the same streets i know it is a long shot

SpiderFJ1200

Yeah, that'd be a very long shot. I wasn't on any long rides lately, but where I have been is still like looking for a needle in a haystack.

I posted in Parts Wanted. Ebay has the entire spindle and nut, but ships from Germany. It might still be my best bet, but going to wait until I hear back from some other sources first.
