Looking for tips to get mirrors off

Just got an FJ and the stock mirrors are in desperate need of replacing. I bought some replacement mirrors and went to try to take off the original mirrors and the bolts are really in there. I'm wondering if someone put some locktite on them because I saw that suggestion in the youtube video where someone changed their mirrors. It's obvious that someone has taken them off or attempted to take them off because they are were already messed up a bit. I'm a bit scared to put some muscle into it because I'm afraid I might crack the fairing. You can see in one of my pics that there is already a little cracking going on. I have access to an impact screwdriver but again, I'm scared to use that in fear of cracking the fairing. Anyone have any tips or suggestions on getting these things out without jacking something up? Also, I'm going to need to replace the bolts once I hopefully get them off. Anyone know any information about the bolts and/or where I can get some new ones?

I believe the mount to be independent of the faring. As far as replacements screws, any decent hardware store will have them. If you end up drilling off the head and using vice grip or pliers to get the rest of the fastener out, just take it with you to hardware store. I'd get hex head "allen type screws" as a replacement.

I finally got them off. I put some WD-40 on them and let them sit for about half an hour. I then got someone else to hold the bike steady and push towards me. It still took quite a bit to muscle to get them off but at least they are off now.
