Can this parts be useful for a FJ mod?

I can buy these parts for 300usd it is from a YZF 1000 .Im planning to buy another FJ 1100 or 1200 and do lots of mods to it ,but can i use the yzf 1000 rear swing and wheel??

There is definitely potential to fitting a thunderace s/a wheel etc
Almost any later model yamaha that can take a 180/55 17" is going to be an upgrade on the ancient 16" rears on fjs
Stainless lines
Blue spot calipers but std m/cyl (so far)
Ebc prolite front discs
Ohlins remote adj rear shock
Remus 4:1
Still running original chain and sprockets from new (scotoilers really work)

Look into the Files. There is a guy named Tim (axiom-r) who grafted a complete YZF R-1 front end and rear swing arm assembly onto his '92 FJ.
I used the earlier (prior to R-1) YZF1000 swing arm off the 1997 Thunder Ace

The Front wheel axle will need the corresponding forks....that axle is too big for your FJ....or find some wheel bearings that will fit the OD on the rim and a 15mm ID for your FJ axle....then custom spacers and a solution for your speedometer.

There's also a guy called Marc Rittner who documented the YZF 1000R Thunderace wheel/swinging arm swap into a FJ.

He gave clear instructions in the old Barry Edwards FJ Mods website. If I can find a link, or details, I'll post them here too  :good2:

Yes - can be used   

Rear - 4mm off each side where swingarm mounts in the frame.   Use the FJ swingarm pivot tube and pivot bolt.  Flip the rear sprocket to move the chain closer to the rear tire to clear the frame.

Front - can be used in a modified set of R1 forks - only Yamaha front wheel I'm aware of that uses R1 style brake rotor AND retains a speed drive so you can use stock speedo cable and speedometer

Thanks for all information guys .Im reading and reading in the modification section and file section . I dont want to experience a cracked dogbone like i read in one tread .Im starting to think maybe it is better with a FZ1  or YZF  1000 thunder ace swing? hasent that a underslung brake
and better caliper ?  and not sure what model of
FJ to buy a 1100 or a newer 1200.

I wouldn't can the idea of R1 based on an adjustable link failing.   Have a solid link made in the new length you need ...

Yeah id concur. Ill use and adjustable R1 link to determine the desirable dogbone length then get a permanent one made to that length.
Ive got almost everything to do the rear swing arm/wheel conversion but will sort the front first.

The 5pw R1 forks take a spindle diameter that matches the last of the fzr1000 front wheels....the 95 foxeye...These are 20mm axle from memory. The 5pw uses 298mm discs that match the 3cv FJ diameter and offset.
All i need to work out is the spacers and the speedo drive to maintain the centring of the wheel/ discs. The 5pw is 310mm between centres across the yokes but fzr is 320mm so might have to fiddle and machine a bit to get it all sweet but it will work.
If you uses post 2003 R1 forks you are into radial calipers, a different disc size and different mount pattern for discs ( 5 bolts post 2003 vs 6 bolts on same pcd as fj and fzr on 2002/2003 R1)

It all gets a bit complicated when you start mixing parts together.
