Greetings from coastal Maine,

I hope this question does not fall under the engine oil or tire memorandum. I am looking to replace some of my gear for next season. My Fieldsheer jacket/pants are a little long in the tooth (15 years). I am interested in what people are using for weekend riding and commuting. I know the Roadcrafter is the benchmark, just a little pricey for a recently divorced child support paying dude. I am looking for a matched set. I want overpants as I don't have a good place at work to change. I ride down to about 40 deg F. Armor is important, as is waterproof. I have a Revit mesh jacket for hot days and I have a 20yr old Vanson that is like your favorite slippers. I plan to do many weekend rides next year so I am looking for great flexibility.

As always all thoughts accepted and appreciated.

My recommendation would be the Joe Rocket Survivor Suit. If you can deal with a one piece, than this may be the ticket. I had one and loved it. Sadly, it got a bit tight and I couldn't wear it comfortably, so I sold it. Mine was grey which they don't offer any more. All Black or Black/Hi-Viz

It meets all of your requirements

Been wearing FirstGear HT overpants for commuting for about 15 years.  Use HT Air in the summer.  Currently have a Revit jacket for cold weather and FirstGear mesh for warm.  Added some hip and back armor.

Check out Olympia Odyssey. I'm not sure if it's still being sold. I can't find it on Revzilla. It looks like they are only selling separate pieces on their website.
