So where in this vast expanse are you located?  Plenty of us FJ owners scattered around.  That's a nice bead blaster you got there.  I also like your warning sign on the cabinet thingy.  I can sympathize with that.  Last time I bought ammo for my Lee Enfield .303 they were $4 a pop.  And that was a few yrs ago.

I'm in Nova Scotia.
The blasting cabinet and the cabinet I use for a hobby a friend and I have been doing for 2 decades. refinishing firearms using kg coatings gun kote.
Since I started this thread I stuck a toe in the powder coating pool and use it for that as well.
I haven't posted much because all I've been doing with the fj is turning gas in to noise.
I did the Barnett clutch upgrade this spring and doing the exhaust upgrade now.

Welcome to the FJ evening campfire.  Pull up a seat, relax, and be among friends.
The FJ is almost two bikes in one.  The first one, below 5000 RPM, is fairly nice, strong, and reliable.  The second one, above 5000 RPM is something of a beast.  Still friendly and reliable, but a real fire-breathing beast.  Going above 5000 RPM?  Better get a grip first, because the bike is quite capable of leaving, and it will be your own lookout about being on board or not when it does.  It is quite capable of outrunning the brakes and tires, so have considerable open road ahead of you when you start exploring the high RPM range.

The FJ is a strong, heavy machine.  Go with good tires.  We all make our own choices, but for me, a tire for the FJ is DONE after about eight years, no matter what tread remains.  To your good health . . .

P.S. Life is too short, and health is too valuable, to ride on cheap parade-duty tires.

tks Red. I put brand new tires on her when I got it.. that, brake checks and oil changes are my post buying routine unless the tires on it are relatively new.
I've stretched her legs a bit by just rolling in to the throttle in 5th..
I don't posses the skills to push it to it's limits and have no intention of trying.
