Decent weather's finally come to Eastern Ontario - 24C today - about 75F for you Luddites.
All's well in Woodcreek world. Sold my 92 last night. $1950C (about $1500 US). A bargain at the price but it's one of the few bikes that I've actually made a buck or two on. Never actually rode the thing in all the time I had it.
For the first time in 21/2 yrs, the 90 rolled out into daylight. Initial startup didn't go well (stuck floats/needles I suspect) but swapping in the carbs from the '88 that I parted out worked out just fine. Fired up instantly, no smoke or unpleasant noises and settled into a nice smooth 1000rpm idle. Clouds of smoke from the header paint though.
The wind died down so it gave me a chance to clearcoat the paint on the bodywork. I used a 2part satin clear fron Spray-Max. worked out pretty well -  not even close to a quality paint job but hopefully it won't peel off too soon.
Should be back together by the end of next week but any test runs'll have to wait until late June at the earliest. Getting a new knee in a week and a half (Covid willing) so, until I'm physio'd out, I'll be reduced to staring and making engine noises from the couch.
On a sad note, the shack is empty and nothing's on the horizon.

very interesting paint project you have done there  :good: .Can you post some more pics ? I'm thinking of painting my bike with the spray max 2k matte or satin matte  trying to get a frosted look finish and
interested in how it looks.
I have used the spay max 2k clear cote  (Clear finish ) allot and it is a very good tough  paint . I have painted my hole bike with it a couple years ago .It is extremely tough i once tried to remove it from the polished aluminium on the clutch cover for a re polish and re-spray, but nothing would bite one it.Tried 2 different types of paintstripper no reaction then brakefluid  over night no reaction gasoline no reaction
had to remove it manually with strong duct tape and drag it off in a straight movement.I have also painted the engine parts with it no yellowing or problems.A big warning is that this paint is very dangerous to inhale so using a good ventilation mask is a must protect skin and eyes and ears too. I have used it outside and with a little wind from behind  and of course wearing mask with filters that stops the fumes protective glasses and gloves You can
increase the usable window after the hardener is activated from 2 days to a week by putting the can in refrigerator. The paint is also very easy to wetsand and polish up to hi gloss if it gets orangepeel

Here's what it looks like put together. Overall, pretty happy with the way it turned out. I was trying for a clean 'Rat' look. Stripes were traced off the original 90 tank and cut out by my wife, she of the steady hands.
I was impressed with the SprayMax. Very forgiving to use and it seems pretty tough. I messed up the fender with some runs - not thinking that the nozzle was directional - took a fair bit of sanding to smooth it out.
It's good to know about the refrigerator trick. I have a couple of master cylinders I wanted to clearcoat but I didn't want to waste a whole can of clear on them. This'll give me a bit of time to come up with something else to cover.
Bike's gonna be for sale if anybody's interested.  $3500 CDN.

Looks great !  i like the satin finish  :good:.I have bought a can with Matt finish i think i should have bought satin instead .I will have to do some testing but then
i have to use it for something ( maybe my helmet :scratch_one-s_head: ) before the usable time window goes out . I try to find out and prep all parts i want to paint to get most out of the can.
maybe i can use it for the steering controls . painted them with clear last year but it was too shiny with sun reflecting in my eyes.
I think i have used a can after 10 days in the fridge if i remember right .
just remembered that fj1289 has a satin finish on his 198.2 mph dragbeast found in his fantastic land speed racer thread here https://www.fjowners.com/index.php?topic=14280.165
